"Putting a round bale in a square state."
"Putting a round bale in a square state."
Square State Services was founded in 2024 by Ed and Becky Schwartz of Maybell, CO. An area very rich in agriculture, located in Northwest Colorado. Ed has 24 years of trucking experience and is also very experienced in hay hauling. He's a 3rd generation truck driver. Ed and Becky have a deep love for trucking and agriculture. Becky comes from a ranching heritage and is an animal lover. She has horses herself, that have hay hauling needs. They saw an opportunity and a need for hay transport and found their unique,1 of a kind hay truck and decided it would help to fill the need for farmers and ranchers to save time and money with hay transport from field to stack, field to farm, and beyond. Among other things, like hauling tractors and other items.
They decided the name Square State Services because of where Maybell is located. Their home base is 60 miles from Wyoming and 60 miles from Utah. Both also very rich in agriculture. Right smack dab in the middle is Maybell, CO.
All 3 states are close to square and the truck's specialty is hauling round bales. So thus, the name and saying was born! Square State Services, "Putting a round bale in a square state."
Ed's witty nature came up with the play on words.
The specifications of the very unique truck, is that it is designed for both on and off road operations. At 59 feet long, and 12 feet wide, it is surprisingly maneuverable to turn around in tight spaces, unlike a tractor trailer. The Milbrandt Enterprises roller chain bed, which is 48 feet long by 12 feet wide, a bigger deck space than a conventional semi, creates a larger hay hauling capacity. The rolling chain bed is also timed perfectly with the speed of the low gears on the truck, minimizing bale damage during pickup and drop off. The bale capacity is dependent on size and weight of the bales.
We would love to talk to you about all your transport needs!
